MultiPlus-II is not inverting. Keeps beeping while "Inverter On" light is solid green

Hi guys,

I searched this forum back and forth and could not find any possible solution

and can really use your help with troubleshooting my MultiPlus unit.

I can not get it to start inverting. Without grid power, the AC-out line does not have voltage.

Note: charging works fine.

If I turn off the shore power (50A),

Multiplus starts beeping,

The "Inverter On" light is solid green

No other lights are on or blinking

I do not have 120v power on AC-Out line.

If I turn on shore power after that, it takes a few minutes for Multiplus to start supplying power back to the lines. Is it normal to take that long?

During those few minutes, it kept beeping.

No errors or alarms are in VRM except an expected "Grid power lost" alarm.

Do you have any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?

Why are you using AC OUT 2? That does not work when there is no grid. Only AC OUT 1 is operational then.

Multis don’t beep. GX modules can and it indicates an alarm which by connecting to it, would show the cause.

No other alarms are showing up in the GX module except the "Grid power lost" alarm.

I'm pretty sure the beep is coming from Multiplus, but I'll verify.

> Which model multiplus

MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 120/240V connected to shore power (50A) and 2x 12v 200A SOK lithium battery.

Solar panels are off because they are covered right now.

> What position is the switch

Inverter On. I verified

and the solid green "Inverter On" light indicates the correct position.

no other lights are on or blinking

> What other components in the system

Lynx distributor

MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 120/240V connected with 2' of 4/0AWG to Lynx distributor

VE.Bus Smart Dongle

BMV-712

SmartSolar MPPT-Tr 150-100 with 800W of solar which is off right now

400A fuse (if charging and 12v power works, I assume the fuse is fine)

2x 12v 200Ah SOK lithium batteries connected with 2' of 4/0AWG to Lynx distributor via the fuse.

> Which batteries

2x 12v 200Ah SOK lithium batteries.

This is my exact setup up to the wire gauges except:

- I do not have DC/DC charger

- AC Out is connected to AC Out 2 (mpt AC Out 1 as in the diagram)

Do you know what I should try to make it invert?

Thanks

Cerbo will beep for grid loss by default. Go to settings and disable the buzzer, will show you soon enough.

it was easier for me to access, and when I was installing it, I searched the net and found some comments that they both work the same. i guess i should not trust everything i see on the internet.

I'll dive in to reconnect to AC OUT 1.

it can not be that easy :) i was trying to find a fix for weeks now

It’s documented in the manual.

It can be overridden by a relay assistant programmed on the multi. But by default it is for non critical loads that are shed when grid is lost.

AC2 is connected to AC1 but via a separate relay which opens on grid failure.

thank you for your help.

That was my stupid mistake, but I'm glad this was a simple fix.
