Hi John

So the new Easy Solar GX2 has anti islanding system in it like the mulitplus 2 units?

So they can be connected to the grid if they are approved, are you getting approvals for NZ?

@Rob Duthie. Hi Rob.

Historically the Easysolars are just combo boxes. They don't rate their own manual (apart from a couple of 1600VA models), and are supplied with manuals of the component kit. But there's this: https://docs.victronenergy.com/easysolar-ii-gx.html#introduction

Nor is it "new". Dated 7/2/2019.

Re the current state of approvals, perhaps look up the relevant Sales Manager for NZ, who should know..

Hi Karel, some some countries/cities have a published list of "approved" inverters that are allowed to be connected to the Mains grid. This is due to the safety requirements of the anti-islanding system.

For example, the Easysolar is not allowed for a Grid-Tied installation in South Africa (according to NRS 097-2-1), but the Multigrid, Multigrid-II and Multiplus-II units are allowed.
