The Victron Pylontech install documentation recommends:
5.3 Inverter Settings
In the Inverter tab of VEConfigure
VEConfigure Inverter Parameter Setting
DC input low shut-down 44V
DC input low restart 48V
DC input low pre-alarm* 48V
However:
PylonTech recommended
DC input low shut-down 42V
DC input low restart 45V
DC input low pre-alarm 45V
which is correct/best to use?

My setting i use with out any issues.

*) System uses LiFePo4 with other type BMS
(This can be either a BMS connected via CAN bus or a BMS system in which the

Hi @jimbo,
It doesn't really matter. Ultimately the battery will take care of itself.
The Victron settings are more conservative, so you will sacrifice some battery capacity for a more reliable system.
It is always Victron's preference that the inverter shuts itself down BEFORE the battery enters some internal error low voltage protection shutdown state, that might require some manual intervention.
Pushing the shutdown and restart voltages too low can lead to the system cycling too quickly (3 times repeatedly), and then not automatically restarting (requiring a manual intervention to start up again).
None of these settings will damage either the battery or our equipment, so you are free to modify them to suit your particular circumstances, and find the best balance of reliability and usable battery capacity.
