Is there anyway to use a digital input on a Cerbo to control the state of a MultiPlus, so that when the input is high the Multiplus is in Invert Mode and when low it is in charge only?

You should be able to do this at the Multiplus level not the Cerdo by using the Aux1 in the multiplus and setting up some assistants to act on the High/low signal
Paul, yes I can. The challenge I see is that the MultiPlus knows there has been a charge or load disconnect, but the Cerbo/Venus OS dose not. By having it in the Cerbo it would also provide alerts and logging which can also be picked up by VRM.
A possible help out is to set the gen autostart in the Cerbo to trigger the states then you can see it in the gen / autostart area in the vrm
