What is the correct way to install the smartshunt on my battery bank ?!

The shunt has to be connected in the negative wire that goes to your loads/chargers.

It depends a bit on what you want. You can see your 2 parallel batteries as 1 battery. They cannot be monitored seperate from each other so don't stare blind on that. If you don't charge the batteries from an alternator you can use the diagram on page 9 of the manual. Make sure to set Setting 69 (Auxilary input) to Starter battery or Temperature even if you do not use it (it will give you an error regarding midpoint voltage error if you don't).
yes, there will not be anything else than the 2 batteries on the minus side of the shunt.
please connect it like the picture from Matthias, That are the only right options. You have no midpoint in a parallel batterybank so you can set it to second battery.
You seem to be right on the order of disconnections, do connection visa versa.
What I thinking about is, if i connect both battery negative to the shunt ?!
Option 1 or 2 or is it totally wrong ?!
I know this is an old post but I have a followup question:
I have 2 48v server rack batteries (eg4) which I want to wire in parallel to a smartshunt. In the eg4 manual it says not to jumper the batteries in parallel, rather use a properly rated busbar to connect them in parallel to avoid large currents and overheating in the end wires.
So my question is this:
In my case because its only 2 batteries, can I just connect 2 negative wires to the battery end of the smartShunt? Its not 4 batteries which would warrant a whole busbar, really just 2 5awg wires connected directly to the shunt, using the shunt as a "post"...
I know it can kindof be considered "abuse" but is it really necessary for me to add a busbar?
And then while I'm at it, I have the same question for the positive side... Can I just attach the 2 positive wires directly to a t class fuse holder?
In the continuation of the system I wil have of course a lynx distributor, I'm just wondering if I can avoid adding 2 additional busbars to my system...
