EasyPlus Compact 12/1600/70 - Fuse Size

Hi All

Can someone confirm the correct fuse size to use ? I am thinking of using a 150A fuse.

My logic is -

When charging - the max it could throw to the batteries is 70A. When inverting the max it could be pulling from the batteries is 1600W / 12v = 133A plus about 10% = 150A.

So a 150A fuse would cover charging and inverting.

Thoughts ?

Hi @Miya

The actual rated max output for that unit is 3000W. But that won't be for long before it trips, and it's really just to handle load spikes. If you're using the supplied 35mm2 cables, you could safely run a 200A slow-blow fuse.

Hi @JohnC

I was wondering, the 35mm2 cables provided with the easyplus are rated to 60º

Would a fuse of 150A be a better safer choice? Given that the max continuos output from the EasyPlus is 133 A?
