iPhone 11 replaced with iPhone 15, all devices now wanting to pair and won't accept the pin 000000

I replaced my iPhone 11 XS max with a new iPhone 15, iOS 17.5.1. The iPhone 11 victron app worked perfectly. The new iPhone won't. In the victron app on the new iPhone 15 I can see all 5 of my victron devices. My iPhone 15 keeps asking for a code to pair the bluetooth victron devices, I put in the default pin 000000. The app won't accept it. I have searched for a solution and can't find any answers. Will it simply never work at all anymore???

When you originally paired with the iPhone 11 did you create a unique pairing PIN code? If so try using that.

Having the same problem but only on my SmartBMS. Android works. Having mine replaced but afraid it may happen with the replacement.

When connecting from a new phone, it's not uncommon that you'll need to reset the PIN of the device even if you never changed the PIN from default (which you should definitely do in any case).

Justin,

I even tried to use the reset with the PUK code, and received the error “Pin code reset not possible, contact your Zvictron dealer”

I agree that if you can’t connect with the default, the PUK method is supposed to be the path to reset, but mine didn’t work.

Oh that's a weird one, I've never seen that error before... but eh then again I only work with Android, and I know the various iDevices are sometimes a bit more finicky about things.

Hi Joe, the PUK should work, I’ll ask someone to get in touch to help troubleshoot.

@Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager)

I tried with the PUK and no luck. can we start a different thread. I have had my installer send it back to freedomvango in Jacksonville for bench testing. I you want, I can DM you with the screen shots of both the message and the serial/puk

@Guy Stewart (Victron Community Manager) I stepped on @bethann23 ’s post so I thought you could use my original question posting to help solve my iPhone PUK connection issue.
