Grid Feed-In while setting for feed-in is set to OFF

Hello fellow Victron fans.

I am sure this was discussed before but need some clarifications what is in fact expected. Here we have a customer that has feed-in turned off until the grid meter is changed into a dual-way one. However, each day we see huge ammount of energy fed to the grid which now the customer has to pay for.

Settings:

Hi. You will need to provide a lot more detail about this system and how it is configured.

It's a three phased MultiPlus II setup with one 250/100 and one 250/60 MPPT plus two Pytes E-Box 5kw batteries.

What do you use as a grid meter?

Also in ESS feed in will never be 0, it will always try to balance loads on grid

There is no grid meter. The whole house is on AC Out.

Ok, but it seems way too much for just balancing. Customer has 60kw in a couple of days added to bill already. The two-way grid provider meter is about two weeks away from being installed. But it is worrying meantime.

The customer never hit DOD so never in fact had to touch the grid. However, the Multi's either pull or push through the meter constantly, ranking up cost needlessly. This back and forward is metered.

Everything is on AC 1 OUT. Nothing connected to AC 2 OUT. System is pretty striaght forward.

3 X MultiPlus II 5kVA

Cerbo

2 X MPPTs

Pytes BMS

All components on latest firmware. Multis are v510, Cerbo v3.4, etc.

What other details are you looking for?

Have you tried multi phase regulation set to per phase?

Ok, will try for a day. I understand this comes with huge loses though.

Settings look ok to me, did you try a higher grid setpoint? Standard is 50W

External grid meter (em540) is always more accurate then the inverter meter

Have tried with default also, same behaviour. Reason I put it to 20w is to try reduce it. So ideally a meter should be used with ESS systems and not rely on Multi's metering?

You have a 3-phase system, it is also set to "total of all phases" for regulation, so it will backfeed to try keep the net usage zero, which seems to be the case on yours.

If your phases are not balanced, it is going to send power back.

Try change the ESS regulation to individual phase, and see if that changes the behaviour.

Try that for about two hours since the post above. Customer called to say that L1 inverter has gone crazy loud and hot which he could see consumption on L2. I guess it was trying to help it out?
