MultiPlus-II gone into Passthru mode help please

Not sure what's going on, I have a multiplus II and 10kw of solar and 40kw of battery storage, yet yesterday the system started charging the batteries from the grid at 4kw, even though there was plenty of solar production. The batteries were at 40% and minimum soc was set to 25% in ess mode, with optimisedwithout battery life. I turned the whole system off in the hope to reset what ever went wrong, but now the multiplus is going directly in a Passthru state and only switches to inverting if I turn off the grid breaker.

The batteries are still charging via the mppt, so not sure what's gone wrong and why.

Anyone please advise thanks1000039261.jpgIn Passthru state1000039260.jpg

Have you checked 10.4 Q4 here for the common causes? https://www.victronenergy.com/media/pg/Energy_Storage_System/en/faq.html#UUID-169dbd85-4b6f-814b-33c2-9fa77a6973d2_section-idm4628123204859232885885561444

Your inverter is off in that pic but has loads, so do you have meters? I would check the multi/meters are all properly connected.

I've got no meters. I basically had to reboot the system, now it's working again, and the inverter now says external control, not sure what that means but it's working again. Yesterday when it decided to charge from the grid, the inverter said "recharging" but why would it have gone into that mode?

Typically when the battery is below a set theshold that forces a recharge. Could be a comms or battery issue, both situations that can cause this state.

Tough to say without a detailed setup and configuration.
