Multiplus, EVCS, No solar.

Just making sure it'll do what I hope it will before committing.

Want to get a MultiPlus-II 48/5000, batteries & a EVCS. (may get more MP2 later)
Have the MultiPlus charge the batteries during off peak tariff, supply house/load during other (until battery low).
EVCS charge car at up to 32A during off peak, and from MultiPlus during other periods at <=16A.

I can't have solar at my house at this time.
I don't mind if system pulls from grid during peak times but I just want to limit usage during those periods as much as possible.

Tariff: Ergon 12c.

DESS can take care of the system to get the best energy price. But the EVCS is not yet controlled by DESS

Can the evcs have a schedule so it's limited during peaks?

My tariff is time of use, fixed times.

Thank you, is it able to reduce and increase output depending on the inverter load?

Yes, we have overload protection, I presume that's what you need, correct?

Sorry, I mean: (numbers dumbed down).

If the inverter can handle 4kw, house is using 1kw, car is using 3kw.
Then the house starts using 2kw, will the EVCS let the car know to reduce it's output to 2kw.
Then when the house is back to 1kw, EVCS resumes 3kw?

Yes. That's how it is working. But, there are some delays. It's not immediately going back to the previous value.
