How would you wire the victron usb to Rs485 cable into an RJ45 connector if you wanted to connect to the ports on the front of the et112 instead. Is it just pins one to six on the connector, leave 7-8 blank?
Can't seem to find an official wiring diagram for the connector.
What, to connect and change the modbus ID once? That seems overly complex..
I assume then it is not a long run? Dont use the rs485.

Like the manual says:
Connect the Energy Meter to the GX device using the USB to RS485 cable. The RS485 to USB interface cable between the GX device and the Energy Meter can be extended up to 100 meters; make sure that the extensions of the Data+ (orange) and Data- (yellow) wires form a twisted pair.
RS485 Converter Energy meter Suggested CAT5 extension
Orange (Data+) Yellow (Data-) Black (GND)
Terminal 4 Terminal 5 Terminal 6
Orange Orange/White Brown
The red, green and brown wire coming out of the USB to RS485 cable are not used. Note: You can wire on a RJ45 plug which can plug into the front of either RJ45 socket of the Energy meter, it has the same pin out.
