Multiplus hairdryer

Hi

We have just finalized an island installation in a chalet in the high mountains at 1'500 meters. Energy is provided by four 435W Longi solar panels.

The installation is the following:

Multiplus 5000/48; MPPT 150/60; Cerbo GS and the Touch GX; Lynx distributor and 4 Pylontech US3000C batteries divided into 2 groups, connected by 2 pairs of Pylontech cables and controlled by BMS

The installation was tested at our laboratory at different powers ranging from 200W to 4500W. Due to the fact that the installation was perfectly working, it was transported to the chalet and installed.

While retesting the installation, we used a hairdryer and encountered for the first time the problem of diodes causing by the sinusoid.

The problem is that under 500W (intermediate power), the Multiplus starts to buzz/vibrate strongly. The long-term consequences of this behavior of the Multiplus in relation to the diodes are unknown to me. On the other hand, vibrations are really not recommended for welds and connections.

Is there a way to configure the Multiplus II to eliminate this problem or is there another solution already tested?

Thank you in advance for your feedback

hi, this has been mentioned before on this community, but as it is a transformer inverter, you will hear the humming from the transformer under that kind of loads, no problem at all especially since your inverter is 5k and the dryer isnt a high load
