CoMap InteliLite4 AMF20 Controller issues

I am trying to configure my Cerbo gx to connect to a InteliLite4 AMF20. I have changed all the modbus mapping in the controller to match what the Cerbo requires, and I have even manually tested each modbus register with a modbus tool. I can start and stop the generator using coil 4700 with the modbus tool also.

The Cerbo has detected the Controller, and it shows up in the list of devices. However I keep getting an error "#1 Remote switch control disabled" then it seems to time out as if its disconnected.

The manual says:

If the generator auto start/stop is enabled, it will show error #1 Remote switch control disabled on the Auto start/stop page.

I assume this is the page that is found in settings->generator start/stop? I have the relay set to manual, so no auto stop/start is configured.

I have no idea what's going on. I have looked at comap.py and everything looks ok. I have tried putting the generator in manual and auto modes, I have tested all the modbus registers and they look ok..

Any pointers would be great.

Edit 1:

Just enabled SSH and found this in the logs:

@40000000667166670d8b470c INFO [tcp:10.1.8.134:502:1] Found ComAp InteliLite4-based genset

@40000000667166671435ddc4 INFO registered ourselves on D-Bus as com.victronenergy.genset.comap_intelilite4

Which is odd given I have tested each individual modbus register using ModbusTool

I have the same issue.

I sniffed modbus tcp communication and it seems that there is a problem with 4700 coil.
Venus tries to read the 4700 coil:

Then InteliLite4 answers:

Then Venus tries to write 0000 value to 4700 coil:

But again with no success:

I read the entire manual for InteliLite4. It seems there is only one condition needed: the genset must be set to Auto (AFAIU), but even though, the problem still persists.

@Philipp Trenz help :)

@Philipp Trenz Hallo Philipp is the CoMap update included in the new v3,40 version ?

Hi @2Mas, unfortunately not. It will be included in the first betas for v3.50, which will soon be available. If it does not cause any issues, we will release a patch version v3.41 soon, which will then include the ComAp patch. Sorry for the delay!

it's okay, there wasn't anything about it in the description of the update either, just wouldn't spend time on it if it's not included ;-)

Hi @2Mas, as of now v3.50~5 is available within the Beta update feed, which contains the ComAp readout fix. Please feel free to give it a try and let me know the result.

There is one small issue with v3.50~5 that Philipp is aware of. I just tested the fix and did a remote start of the genset and it worked perfectly.
