I have an Orion XS that goes to bulk for about ten seconds and then directly to float when the van starts. Battery bank voltage doesn't seem to matter. Although, I've only been down to 80%. MPPT 100/30 it's doing great, but not keeping up on long days with A/C running.
Setup: 2 x 280 ah Dakota Lithium in parallel. Multiplus ii 12/3000/50, Smart Shunt, MPPT 100/30. Absorption set to 14.4v and float set at 13.5 v.
I am having the exact same issue. The Epoch Battery is only at 55% and has a voltage or 13.2. It should not go into float mode after 10-15 seconds.. I am using ignition start with engine.
Sounds like blown fuse or bad connection between the Orion and the battery.
I checked the breaker at the house battery and it isn't tripped. I need to pull the fuse on the Lynx and look, but it is seeing voltage on both input and output. No amperage when it goes to float, but amperage for a short time in bulk.
