EVCS - Can't connect to Cerbo/CRM

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect an EVCS to my Cerbo. The EVCS is running an old version (V3.3/1.21) and as I understand, the only way to update is through VRM, hence connection to Cerbo is required.

Both the EVCS & the Cerbo are on the same local network, though not on the same wifi since they're ± 100m apart. I can connect to both devices their web interface (local IP) so I guess the networking is fine.

I've set the Cerbo's IP in the ModbusTCP IP address setting on the EVCS and I've added the EVCS IP in the Cerbo's Modbus devices but it's not showing up..

Any help? Thanks!

Hi, are you sure both devices are on the LAN?

In your pictures I see 192.168.68.54 and 192.168.0.22

There are 2 networks actually, one is 192.168.0... and the other one is 192.168.68...

Try with a laptop to connect to one network and see if you can access both devices IP addresses, and then, move to the other network and do the same. The expected result is that will work from one network but not from the other.
And then, it will probably be necessary to open the port 502 on the router that stays between networks or configure that router as a bridge.

But this is not an issue with the EVCS or Cerbo, this is a networking issue.

You're right. The EVCS is seeing the Cerbo but not the other way around. Thanks for the Networking 101.
