How to connect multiplus and smartsolar to same batteries

I cannot find any reference to the possibility of connecting smartsolar output directly to a battery bank already fed from a multiplus. Is this a simple task or do I need some form of combiner?

Up to 8 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 190.8 MiB each and 286.6 MiB total.

You could hook it up directly and if set up correctly, it’ll work. Best practice however would be to use a DC busbar with suitable fuses for all connected equipment

Thanks Murraynated but my question is not how the wiring should be connected but whether simply doing so without means of protecting the victron equipment from unexpected voltages is a good idea. Thanks again.
