Are there any experiences and suggestions how to integrate/use Deye DEYE AI-W51 lifepo4 batteries with Victron?
That is a question for Deye.
They are an unsupported brand, in the absence of comms, it would require a shunt and old fashioned voltage control. Rather buy a supported battery, plenty of official and third party variants.
So what supported battery do you then recommend:
My requirements:
- IP 65
- Temp Range -20 to about 50°
- 50 kwh (expandable)
- 48 V System
- built in extinguishing device would be nice
Not sure many batteries meet all those requirements.
Start with the support page and have a look at what works best for you.
You don’t have to have a supported battery, just have to accept that the battery manufacturer will need to provide help if you have issues, and if something works today it doesn’t mean it will still work tomorrow as software evolves and is updated.

If Deye batteries fullfill all these requirements, why not looking for a Deye inverter, that fits to these batteries?
by example, the sun5klp1 stops poduction when overall feed-in exceeds 5500W and battery SoC 100%
with a second grid connected 15kW inverter also used for AC loading, this limit sucks and stops Deye PV production before lunch (for 4-6h every summer day)
waiting for a firmware update since last year, tried with several Deye support contacts. no success
Additional resources still need to be added for this topic
