Counterfait product?

Hi, I am installing the third Mppt controller.

While I was screwing it to the wall I noticed some differences.

In the one without cables, the space under the orange bar is different.

@Deunan QR codes are different, tried scanning them?

The color coding for you battery cables is bad.

The cabled one was bought from ebay, offgridtech-com gmbh in germany

Bought on amazon warehouse. So no idea from where it comes.

Hi, surely on the amazon documents it somewhere tells the name of the seller? (Who might or might not be buying direct from us).

Some days amazon really drives me crazy :-).


But more seriously, perhaps if you want to find out where it came from, use our support request form and use the HQ serial number thats on the side of the unit.

I will open a support case to ask if they are genuine products.

But now I am a little anxious because 2 days ago I bought a Multiplus II 5000va on ebay.

From your data, can you tell if offgridtech.com in Germany buys directly from you? https://www.ebay.it/str/offgridtecgmbh#tab1

Amazon warehouse is the "2nd hand" from Amazon. Returned product are sold with a discount. I will try to get some more info from them but as you said, Amazon drives people crazy.

Can you confirm the qrcodes i found on the devices are wrong? With an affirmative answer i will open a dispute on Ebay for the old Mppt and send back the new one to Amazon.

Thank you for the quick follow-up. I feel much more reliefed now. Tomorrow i will do the cabling and enjoy more solar power.

@Deunan ...you sure about that shop and link? IMHO " offgridtech" ist different from " offgridtec"...where did you really buy from? I only know of the latter.

Hello, i wrote it manually and not copy-pasted, probably i have added an extra letter. https://www.ebay.it/str/offgridtecgmbh#tab1 is the vendor from where i bought in the past months.
