ESS Multiplus-2 AC-Coupling: Inverter on AC-Out 2?

Hi!
Is it possible to connect a grid-inverter to AC-Out 2 on the Multiplus?

My idea is to save the EM24 compared to connenct the inverter on AC-In.
(Multi is measuring the currents but kick the inverter out if grid lost)

Yes, you can have a PV inverter on the AC-OUT but I would still have that inverter configured for frequency shift limiting.

All rules still apply.

he is talking about AC-Out "2" not AC-Out1

so, no need for frequency shift MG50 grid code or 1:1 rule.

Its not connected, if Grid fails.

Its basically the same as if it would be connected to AC-in.

Only differences:

- no EM24 needed

- AC-Out2 does come back with some delay time after AC-in.

- And, if coupled to AC-Out 2, you need to consider AC Passthrough power limitations also.

Can you explain why I need to consider AC PAssthrough if I want this in my setup?

I do not understand why I need that.

For what is worth: The Victron (48/5000VA/70) has it's own breaker of C32 and appropriate cabling. The PV is 3000W max output. When the grid fails the PV inverter shutsdown.

I know that the PV inverter is looking at the Hertz for shifting and disconnects when needed but when the grid fails it's shuts down. The grid is stable enough so I do not need to charge when the grid fails.

A Victron Multiplus-II 48/5000 can only passthrough 32A on the AC-OUT2.
Around 7kw, so you can install up to 7kw on the AC-OUT2.
