What is the limitation for Paralleling a MPII 10KVA

Just curious why the MPII 10KVA (and 8KVA) cannot be used in Parallel?

It's a hardware limitation. Not sure about the specifics.

The current hardware for the MP II and Quattro II up to 5kVa does allow paralleling, the 8k/10k/15k hardware doesn't -- Victron haven't said why, but have said this can't be fixed in software so a new version of the hardware will be needed to allow this.

This is presumably why the Quattro II bigger than 5kVA haven't been released yet, paralleling is seen as an essential feature for Quattros (less so for the Multiplus) -- which is annoying because I will need a Quattro 48/10000 soon and would much prefer if it was a Quattro II, but there is no release date for this yet... :-(

Data sheet only excludes 8K and 10 k and not 15K from parallel operation. Not sure if thats an error in the datasheet

It is a mistake in the datasheet.

Parallel is still not possible with the 15kVA MP-II.

Matthias, without saying *when* they might be launched, can you confirm that >5kW parallelable MP II and Quattro II are in the pipeline?

That is definitely something Victron is working on.

15K is new so maybe, definitely worth confirming.

@ 80KG good luck, mounting the 49KG 10K nearly killed me.

Paralleling is not supported for these models (revision from previous post).

We can have a max. of 3 units in 3 phase configuration only - should be applicable to 8/10/15kVA units - provided the units have the same hardware.

We have a 3 phase installation with 3x MultiplusII 10kVA that has been running smoothly for more than 8 months now.

Are you sure? The Multiplus-II data sheet still says that 8k/10k/15k can't be paralleled...

Hello

Your are right, paralelling is not possible for these units (8kAV and more). I have amended my comments accordingly.
