Multipus II 48/5000 and Pylontech US5000 Data Cabinet

Hi All,

I'm starting to plan installation logistics for a Multiplus II 48/5000 and some Pylontech US5000 batteries.

Rather than bolting the MultiPlus to the wall, I'm thinking of mounting into a data cabinet.

If I get a 47U cabinet, and then bolt a metal plate that spans between the rear left and right M8 upright rails, and bolt/mount the MultiPlus to the metal plate.

I will then have the batteries racked below, the cabinet will have a four way fan in the roof.

Does any one see a problem with doing this? and issues that I've not thought about?

Thanks

There is an example on the community (you will need to search for it) of someone who has done this.

Just adhere to the install guide re spacing and cooling and you should be fine.

It isn't recommended to have batteries below but many installs do.

Hi

Should be Ok i have seen other companys do this with Victron gear all in one cabinet. I do a battery enclosure my self with Plylontech batteries only

But to do a whole enclosure is hard to move around etc. But more compact etc.

As below link which a company conbines the whole lot.

thanks - yes it will be a heavy unit, however it will be in a corner of a room in my house, so I don't plan on moving it much.

This is my system, not a MultiPlus II, but maybe it gives you some ideas.

This is another design that I am currently working on which does include a MultiPlus II. It is not finished yet.

Wow, thanks for this, yes this helps a lot, although I hadn't planned for it to look this good ! did you fabricate the inside panels and then spray them? is it steel or Aluminium? and how thick is the mounting back plates?
