Easysolar 48v / 5000/ 70 Charge problems

I have a 3 year old Easysolar 48v 5000/ 70a system with 3 Pylontech US2000C batteries and a backup generator as a full off grid system.

i have a fault where the batteries would get stuck charging at 88% and then clear after a few hours and charge fully, this problem has now got worse and they get stuck in the 60s and and around 73%, if they clear that they get stuck a 88%and will not pass this level

i know there is more solar available as when i put load on the system the pv charger increases dramatically .

the system also shows a constant charging of 439w regardless and this does not change.

i have added 2 photos one with load and no load to show the differences.

i would be very greatful for and help or ideas

What us the CCL and DCL shown on the GX and VRM. If they are controlling the system, then that is the place to start looking.

What is their SOH shown as?

Is the pylontec the battery monitor for the system.on the GX? That will be the one reporting to the VRM

Thanks very much for your reply.

I have had a look on the system.

DCL 75AMPS

CCL 75AMPS

CVL 53.2V

SOH 96%

I am pretty sure that the pylon tech is the battery monitor but I couldn’t see where that would be on the gx

Until now the system has been monitered by the installer so I am just getting up to speed with how it all operates.

What do you mean by how else is the system programmed?

What is the programming on the inverter itself? Mppts as well?

Are there any settings under the ESS menu?

@Alexandra there are no settings under the ess menu.

There are 2mppts the main one in the easy solar and a smaller one that adds some extra panels to the system. The main one always shows state as external control when in sun which I'm not sure why. I have added some screenshots with the mppt settings. Thanks again screenshot-20220823-223241.png

The mppts under external control is correct. It means they are being controlled by the Pylontec.

Absorption should be set ro 52V, Float 51v on both the mppts amd the inverter.

DVCC on the gx must be on SVS is odd and STS off. Sometimes you have to limit the charge current to 52.4v especially when the batteries have not been kept 100% charged for a while to help with balancing.

It may be worth updating all the components of your system and resetting up. What firmware are you running?

Vrm can tell you all in one place under devices.

@Alexandra .

Apologies I have been away for a while.

I have made sure everything is running the most up-to-date firmware. I think I may have found something. After updating. The generator wouldn't change properly so I downloaded the setting to v configure. The charge limit for AC input was at 50a which I changed to 15 which resolved that I looked on all the settings on an old file I had downloaded at there are some major differences. The old settings are on the right in the images before I had any problems. I haven't changed anything so I don't know how the changes have occurred. Can I put all these back to the old settings?

Part of the software/firmware update on the easy solar is to restore old settings. Yes, do it manually.

@kevgermany is correct.

The settings are reset when a firmware update is made, it is mentioned in the manual. You have to reprogram.

Here are the pylontech victron recommend setup instructions.
