Disconnect when not using?

I have a Smartsolar 75/15 with 2 100V panels and a lithium-ion powerbank. When I'm not using any power for a couple of days/weeks, should I disconnect them or not?

I don't but my panels are in the sun so the system self manages. I used to to but really didnt see the point after a few times.

It really is up to you.

The batteries don't self discharge more than 1 or 2 % and the draw of the mppt is minimal as well. But the bms may go to sleep if unused for a while. You would need to know the wake up procedure.

Thanx Alexandra. My panels stay in the sun as well. I was only thinking about periods that I'm not in my off-grid holliday-house. Toen they'll be producing electricity that is not used - what would be the safe thing to do?

How would it work for piece of mind for you? Ultimately there should not be an issue. Less of a problem if you have all the safety stuff also like fusing etc. It is not like it will spontaneously combust.

But for peace of mind you could disconnect the PV and switch off the mppt.

It will only produce or generate power when it is needed so not really all the time. Just when the battery drops below float and back up if it even does that.
