Anyone know why when I set the limit to 15amp, the Multiplus is only allowing 10-11amps and pulling the rest from battery? I tried 20amp but then the generator gets killed by the spike when AC kicks on.

Is there a limit on the grid hookup?
If you have weak ac enabled it will do that.
Week AC is not enabled.
Does dynamic current limit cause this? I assumed I should have it checked to help the generator from getting full bursts of current draw.
It is possible that is could be the cause, usually it only affects short term current draw from the generator.
But your battery charging amps are set at 120A, on a 12v system that is 1440W of charging at 12v so if you don't have other loads on this will be all the system draws.
Try switching off power assist, or changing the boost factor.
