Using 2 signal BMS input on Multiplus 3000

When using 2 signal input to allow the BMS to take control of high voltage disconnect and low voltage disconnect can you still set things like start/stop generator (from color gx) at custom SOC/voltage or does the system now ignore its own readings and rely purely on the BMS? Obviously the BMS only sends these signals at its absolute limits which isn't ideal. Also does using 2 signal input make the bmv 712 redundant or does the multi still use info from the bmv too?

Thanks.

The 2 signal BMS has NO effect on the Generator Auto-start settings or operation.

the gen will still start and stop at the settings nominated.

all that happens is it signals the Multiplus units/Quattros to stop charging or stop inverting depending on cell voltage levels usually

and there is NO changes re the BMV this will still be the unit that measure current and voltage in regards to whats displayed on the GX (depending on what you have selected as the battery monitor that is in settings)

Thanks. If a Victron MPPT controller was also connected to the multi, would this also be told to stop solar charging via the 2 wire BMS connection to the multi during a fault condition? Also if I recall the bmv712 can be connected to a temp sensor to start and stop charging based on battery temperature with a sensor? I have a different brand MPPT but may swap for a Victron if it simplifies things.
