Will this work for charging 2nd battery?
No This won't work. The diode shown is incorrectly orientated. With the diode the right way round, the trolling motor will continue to drain both batteries, with the diode as shown, the Mecury won't charge the trolling motor. You do need to use an automatic charging relay.
