2 x Smartsolar 100/20 4 x 285W panels. Charging problem???

Hello,

Our lineup is 2 pcs Smartsolar 100/20 Mppt Trackers. 4pcs Astronergy 285W solarpanels (connected 2pcs series for each tracker). Multiplus 24/3000. 2pcs Ultracell 12V 200Ah (connected in 24V). Venus GX.

Mppt are connected in parallel. And each panel set is installed in different directions. Because target is floating sauna and direction isn't stable ;)

Last autumn everything works fine until dark winter season comes in Finland. And now when we have sun mppt's are doing something weird. They dont charge at all even vrm solar voltage is high on each tracker. (50-65V). Only some watts blinking sometimes and it seems current is going negative sometimes.

Firmwares are updated.

It is possible that it is firmware problem or what it is?

Mppts are connected to the venus with ve.direct cables. And i even tried to fix problem by disconnecting other mppt from the system and making them work independently. Problem stays.

Our other solar destinations does not have any problems. And we have enough sun to charge.

if you look into the MPPT's in Remote Console, do you see any status messages? (maybe you can post some screenshots of that, like these:

also, show battery voltage / amps together with the graphs you posted, you've posted 'load output current' but that usually isn't relevant except if you have DC-loads on that.

System is connected to shore. And configured that it wont allow battery to deep discharge.

Question is why panels making negative current?



Seems that today it is making some energy.

(Only one tracker connected to venus)

This is what it looks like in 30 days period and 7 day period.

Your data appears to have a 'zero error'. Like as if the zero in the graphs has moved, and likely varying too. I've no idea why or how this could occur. Pv production shouldn't be showing negative at any time, in theory it can't do that.

If all your firmware is up to date, and a reboot of all the kit doesn't help, maybe time to call your dealer?

We are dealer so that option is already used.. :)

Everything is up to date and worked very well before..

This happened just after when we updated newest firmware. 1.39
