MultiPlus 3000 rattling noise

My MultiPlus 3000 has an annoying rattling noise.

The unit has never been powered up, I'm just now installing it in my van and it's mounted securely. The rattling noise is constant when I'm driving. I'm also able to reproduce the rattle with the unit unmounted and sitting on the floor. Just gently rocking it or lightly bumping with palm of hand will cause the rattle.

I've tried shaking it to see if there's a loose part but to no avail. I've tightened all bolts/nuts that are accessible with the face plate off.

Have others noticed anything similar?

Sound like there is something loose inside. You should contact the dealer from whom you bought it.

I did and they said it's normal. I agree that it does sound like there's something loose.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and, if common, is there a known fix?
