BMV-712 with Lynx Distributor

is there a way to power the fuse lights on the Lynx Distributor via the BMV -712 Shunt. can a splitter be used on the RJ 12 port on the shut to have on leg go via the RJ 12 cable to the BMV-712's battery monitor and the other leg via the RJ11 cable to the Lynx Distributor?

the rj10 cable in the distributor requires a 5V supply for the LED’s to function

Hi @ThomB

No, this cable has nothing to do with the Lynx rj10 cable, don't connect it to anything else than the BMV itself.

You can power up the unit by providing a 5VDC power supply to the correct pins of the 4P4C connector/lead - 5VDC to Pin #1 and ground/negative to Pin #4.1614330817756.png

In case you have a VenusGX, this conveniently has 5VDC output terminals that you can use. If you have a different Venus device, such as a CerboGX or a CCGX, you could make up an adapter cable to take 5VDC from a spare USB port.

Alternatively, you can purchase a small 12V/24V/48VDC to 5VDC DC-DC converter.

As already pointed out by others, do not attempt to connect the Lynx Distributor cable to the to the BMV cable somehow.
