PV voltage unstable/hunting

Just installed my new MPPT 100-30 solar smart controller as a direct replacement for a previous identical model, and I have noticed the PV voltage is not stable - it seems to be hunting within a range of +/- 28 to 32 volts, which it did not do with the prior unit.

here is a quick video of the readout showing the changes by the second.

Video of the unstable PV voltage

the weather is cold and overcast, but not changing as fast as the PV voltage suggests!

do I need to be concerned?

@Simondodkins

It's probably trying to track and work the best output.

So it loads up the panel and the output will drop with the load, then it unloads and tries again and again and again...

What panels and config do you have them in? Also system voltage?

I have a 100/30 on a 12 volt system and have seen this when it's working hard in bad conditions.

@Simondodkins

You could also recheck your pv connections and crimps. It could also be a bad connection
