Ah...off grid :)
just use the PV-assistant and the generator assistant.
ESS / Hub is for grid connected systems
if possible I'd connect at least part of the solar to the DC-side with Victron MPPT controllers less conversion losses (but might not be practical due to other reasons?)
You'll have to give more info to get answers (diagram of the system, etc.).
Why would you want to use hub assistant?

essentially just want the PV to charge the batteries and handle day time load which is does fine and the generator to start when the SOC or battery voltage gets low?
