Any larger Orion TR chargers in the works?

I want to add a B2B charger to my van/RV system I'm currently building. I'm using Victron equipment for the rest of my system and I like the functionality of the Orion TR, but I'm looking for output in the 60a range. I know I can double up with 2 Orion's as an option, but that is a pretty expensive charging solution and I was wondering if there is a larger charger in the works. Communication back to a GX device would be a bonus if that is coming. I'm not in a huge rush to add the B2B charger, so I'd be OK waiting a while if something is coming in the next year. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about future products in the pipeline, but figured it was worth an ask.

I also have a need for a DC/DC charger which coordinates with the rest of my GX system, and am hoping for some info here.

Hello, many other people searching for a solution like this.

So many Threads about DC/DC Charger with VE.Bus, VE.Can or VE.Direct connection.

The small German Company WCS build a Booster with all the nice features.

(WCS Ladebooster LBR-60)

But I will wait a little bit longer.

Maybe Victron release a new Version of the Buck Boost with all features.

Best regards Robert

There is a 50A Orion now:

MAYBE there will come a 100A in a year or so.

Hello, thank you.

The XS is okay in comparison with the old "normal cabin heater" Orion.

But not with the features to run bi directional or temperatur-controlled by an external Sensor.

Not in 24V volts and still not in the VRM/Cerbo as a DC meter.

Some models with selectable input/output voltage (12 or 24V - 700W output) are in development and planed for Q4 2024/Q1 2025.

The bi-directional charging is currently tested internally.

What temperatures do you want to measure/control?

What exactly do you mean by "VRM/Cerbo as a DC meter".

Hello, that something is in the "pipeline" sounds good.

Temperaturecontrolled means, that the unit control the taking amps by the Temperature of the Alternator.

60A is a huge amount of power for some Alternators.

All data's from a Booster should be visible in the VRM.

That are the information you get from the Orion XS in the VRM Portal:

What are you missing?

There is a temperature sensor for the Buck-Boost Converter but the demand is very very low. Because of that this has a low priority in development.

Thank you.

How it looks like the Orion XS in the "Flowsheet"

Touch, Raspery or old CCGX?

The Orion XS isn't shown on the dashboard or on the overview on the remote console and I don't think that this will change soon.

Not sure if GUI Mods adds the Orion to the overview.

Maybe you can use NodeRed to control the Orion based on alternator temperature.

GuiMods does not provide a separate tile for DC-DC chargers however they should appear in the DC System detail page.
