Torqeedo 24-3500 Charging

Could a Victron 12-24v dc-dc converter i.e. Orion-Tr 12/24-5, or Non-Isolated SMART 12/24-15, or Smart Isolated 12/24-10 / 12/24-15 to charge a Torqeedo 24v battery?

We would wish to charge a Torqeedo 24-3500 from an existing 12v house system with Victron MPPT solar controllers and a pair Aceleron 100ah LiFePO4 batteries in a parallel bank.

Using the Orion would save having to step up to mains with and inverter, and then back down to battery voltage with their 350w mains charger... which seems inefficent and extra equipment for potential points of failure.

For anyone doing this same system:

I have 4x - Power 24-3500 in parallel

into Multiplus 2 3000/24/70


Charge Settings

Multiplus

- absorption voltage: 27.8v (81% charged)

- float voltage: 27.7v

Lynx Shunt - Battery

- Charged Voltage: 27.8v (81% charged)


Notes:

Stability at 27.8V:

  1. Stress and Longevity: Charging to 27.8V is still well below the maximum voltage of 29.4V. This keeps the battery in a less stressed state compared to full charging, which is beneficial for long-term battery health and longevity.

  2. Battery Management System (BMS): Your batteries have an advanced BMS that includes cell balancing, protection against overcharging, and voltage monitoring. The BMS will ensure that the cells remain balanced and operate within safe voltage limits, even at 27.8V.

  3. Performance vs. Longevity: Charging to 81% offers a good balance between maximizing available capacity and maintaining battery life. While it is slightly higher than 27.6V, it still avoids the higher stresses associated with charging closer to the full 29.4V.

I'm going to be hooking up 4 Torqeedo 3500 batteries in parallel to a Multiplus II 24/3000. I'm also looking for information on how to configure the charging for these?
