The male battery cable to ve.bus female recepticle does not seem to connect securely. There is thread on both but neither seem to rotate/screw independently from the pins and reciever. What am I missing? Would greatly appreciate some advice.

Hi,
The M8 threaded sleeve on the cable should spin freely when the thread sleeve is AWAY from the end of the cable. So the pins are inserted, gently pull the thread sleeve towards you (away from the VE.bus BMS, and then the sleeve thread tightens the connection. Do not overtighten it, it will stop when it’s good and should stay locked.
Update:
Here is a video to demonstrate - https://vimeo.com/499069883/2389905b15
Thank you so much. The plastic casing at the end of the cable in my case didn’t leave space for that up-and-down movement to release and allow the sleeve to turn freely, but now that I knew what was supposed to turn I was able to turn it with a wrench and get a secure connection. Thank you for the video.
