Hello, I just added a GPS to my Cerbo and see in VRM it will use the GPS to update the time zone automatically if its not set manually. How do i remove the manual setting that was configured prior to the GPS?
Thank you,

I have this exact same question. Have you ever figured out the answer? Can anyone else answer this? I have been searching through the Victron community and manuals, but haven’t found the answer.
The hint is the message about GX device. Can't get to mine at the moment. In the settings menu on that is where it's done. Sorry to be so vague.
I have a Raspberry Pi, i hope that is not too different.
I see two things
1: In VRM:
Your timezone setting will be updated using the new location only if you do not have it set on the GX device. and a Reset button as well as a Save button2: In the console of the GX device: Device List > Settings > Date & Time and then scroll down to Time zone. There you can can change the time zone to UTC which is most likely considered as "unset".
Reboot after.
It sort of works, my device is set to UTC but on VRM it is showing as on hour ahead of the actual time, that is a bit annoying, anyhow, that is closer than we have mentioned up until now :-)
I have tried all the above and still not had any luck. I have the same situation where I have added the GPS and want to get the time zone to now update with our location. Anyone else have luck?
Just checked mine, which works from GPS and updates as I move around.
In the GX device list/settings menu:
And having said that, it didn't work when I moved my camper from GMT time zone to CET time zone.

The Cerbo manual says:
Date & Time Date/Time UTC Date/Time local Time zone Check only Latest release Normal Press to check Automatic from internet Automatic from internet If this is Enabled, the GX device will check with the server to see if there is a new version available. It is possible to set to disable, or update automatically Use the default setting unless you want to participate in test versions. End-user systems should certainly be set to 'Latest release'. Choice between Normal and Large image. The large image adds Node-RED and the Signal K-Server functionality to the image. Click or press the spacebar to check if a new firmware update is available. Use this menu to install a new version from a microSD card or USB stick. Insert the card or stick that holds the new firmware .swu file. With this feature you can go back to the previously installed firmware version. When connected to the internet, time will be automatically synchronised regardless of this setting. Toggle this setting to manually input the time where no internet connection is present. Select the correct local time zone.
I read this as the time zone will be managed by the internet connection. GMT is working ok. But despite GPS showing the correct locations, the time zone didn't correct itself when I drove out of the UK into Europe. Are we misreading this?
Hi all,
I think currently the only way to reset the timezone to default to allow the GPS to set it automatically based on location is a factory reset of the GX device.
This is a bit of a sledgehammer approach, so I have asked if there is an alternative method possible, but for now that is the best way I know.
