Does the heavy black cable that now goes from my most negative battery within my bank stay there... or do I move it to the new buss bar which is connected to the back side of the shunt? Thank you.

Hi your questions not to clear.
Either a photo showing your current connections, or a drawing would be helpful.
In, short though. all the current from changers, alternators and loads need to pass though the shunt,
So big new cable from shunt to battery neg, everything that was on the battery neg now goes on the load end of the shunt.
