Discrepancies in battery voltage between MPPT and BMV

Our MPPT often shows a different voltage reading to what the battery actually is. (13.5 vs 13.3). This means that our solar goes into absorption/float before the battery is actually full. Any ideas why? I have set up a smart network which helps but we still need to know where the error is.

There is no Smart Network symbol on the mppt screen.

Join the MPPT to the BMVs VE.Smart network.

Once they are connected together via the VE.Smart network, the MPPT will use the more accurate battery voltage provided by the BMV/SmartShunt.

There is no error, voltage rise/drop is a physical property of electrical systems. Increasing wire size, reducing length of cable run, reducing current, reducing the number of connection points will all reduce the amount of voltage differential.

But the easiest solution is to use the calibrated readings of the BMV, via the correctly configured VE.Smart network, so the MPPT will accurately charge the battery.

The battery voltage as shown on MPPT fluctuates rapidly (every second). Never seems to be steady like the voltage reading on BMV. Is this normal? The smart network helps it but it stills goes into absorption too early (before full)
