Autostart generator wiring (Venus)

Hi, could someone help me figure out how to wire my Hyundai DHY6000SELR to autostart from the Venus controller. I'm not sure if I need additional parts. My generator has an ATS socket (3 pin).

This is the manual for the generator, the wiring diagram is on page 23 and 24.

Hi @MrHouse

Here is a sketch. You need to measure what current the relay coil shown in the drawing will use since the internal contact on the Venus can only handle small amps.

Please have a look at the datasheet for voltage and current limits.

The link you added doesn't actually give you the right information.

Someone has answered this question with a 'this may be right at a guess'.


Could victron staff actually respond with relevant helpful information instead of re adding links that they haven't read or checked to see if it actually answers the question!!!

The relay at the Cerbo is just a switch like that:

In most cases you will use COM and NO to give the generator a signal to start.
