Saltlike substance from MPPT?

I found a salt like substance coming from my MPPT charge controller. (75/15). Is there something inside that could leak a salt like substance?

So does the fact that it has leaked out render the controller less safe from a thermal perspective?

Well i assume so if quite a bit has come out. I have no idea what victron consider a failed unit and if there is a tolerance of acceptable leakage.

If it was quite a bit then i would defiantly recommend you just start a warranty claim as they are clearly not designed to leak out.
