MPPT 150/100 decided to turn itself off! (fixed)

Okay, so let me start off with "I am ignorant." and I mean that seriously. LOL I will do my best to supply all the info I can, but the vast majority of this stuff is a mystery to me.

So, what I have is 6x200w solar panels feeding 2x300mah Life Blue LiFePo4 batteries through the MPPT 150/100. It's installed in my RV. I'll attach a pic of the general set up. It was installed by RV Solar Solutions. I talked to the tech who did the install, he's stymied and recommended I come here.

11 days ago was the last time the batteries (according to the phone app) got any charge from the sun.....which is curious because we've had a LOT of sun lately. I did not fiddle with the settings, and the MPPT is not networked. I've attached pics of the set up and what I'm seeing on the app.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Not sure if this is relevant, but just in case......

The screen from the app.....

The message I get when I check "Why is the charger off?"...again, the BMS is not connected to the MPPT.

Thank you again!!

Has the jumper plug been removed from the mppts remote port?

Have you tried "rebooting" the controller?

PV breaker to "off", then battery switch "off".

Turn it back on with "battery" first and then PV.

Can you supply "screen shots" of the Controllers setup screens?

klim.....i doubt it, as I don't even know what that is.

mrseas....I don't know exactly which switches those are, but I did turn off both breakers (the dial looking red switch and the yellow switch below the MPPT) for a period of 2 minutes then turn them back on. Not sure of what order though.

I also don't know where I would find the Controllers setup screens. Is that on the phone app? Let me know and I can run back out there and get some.

Hi @Allen Cowan

as displayed in your first post, there are a couple of things mentioned when you click 'why is charger turned off'

Did you read what it says there? it says two things:

-check remote on/off terminal block if available

-see RX Port documentation:

https://www.victronenergy.com/live/victronconnect:mppt-solarchargers#rx_port_function

so change this function above, and or check for a jumper in the ve.direct socket.

And check for the wire bridge in the most right terminal block.

Mr. Boekel, I posted a pic of the MPPT. Could you point out WHERE there should be a socket? As far as I can tell, the only things going in/out of the MPPT are electric wires to/from the panels, batteries and switches.

The Remote ON/OFF switch is located here:

If you aren't using a remote on/off switch, then there should be a wire loop (as supplied from the factory).

Okay, that I have seen, and there is no wire loop in it. What does this remote on/off thing do? As far as I know, I don't have one. I kinda thought it was supposed to stay on. LOL Is it possible it could have fallen out maybe?

Thanks for the visual reference, that is very helpful.

So after moving the batteries a bit, sure enough there is a plug there. I assumed maybe it had been severed or something but when I went to look at the app, it showed the MPPT was on and had been on since sometime yesterday!!!!
