BMV to ARM Linux via bluetooth

Hi

I have a few BMV 712 units monitoring batteries. I'd like to connect to the BMV-712s from Raspbian and log whatever I can get. I know there is a complete Venus OS I can load but I'd prefer not to go down that path as I have invested a heap of time/effort setting up lots of other things.

I also don't have a screen connected to the Raspberry Pi and really would prefer not to (commandline only).

I can pair and connect to the units via bluetooth using bluetoothctl

I've also successfully installed vrmlogger and everything that comes with it.

All I want to do is log whatever I can get to a text file at regular intervals (say 30 seconds).

I've been googling for hours on this.

Is it possible?

Appreciate any help.

Cheers

Phil
