VenusGX open LAN IP Ports

Hello,

just for the sake of curiosity:

What is the Port 45789 on the VenusGX for?

It is actually a Remote Console on LAN webpage responding when browsing:

http://IP_OF_VENUSGX:45789

Has this open port some sense?

It is not the same port as the "mystic" remote support port shown in settings - general, as rumors say, this port is for Victron, to create a ssh connection, in case of remote support.

Regards,

Markus

I don't have this port open. I have MODBUS on 502, MQTT on 1883 and NodeRED??? on 9001.
Dunno what 40337 is. Like your strange port, it opens the console, but I'm sure it's redirecting to port 80 when on LAN. Perhaps it is the VRM console connection.

Port Scan has started…

Port Scanning host: 10.0.5.101

Open TCP Port: 22 ssh

Open TCP Port: 80 http

Open TCP Port: 81 hosts2-ns

Open TCP Port: 502 asa-appl-proto

Open TCP Port: 1883 ibm-mqisdp

Open TCP Port: 9001 etlservicemgr

Open TCP Port: 40337

Port Scan has completed…

"http://VENUS_IP:40337 gives me the console - on port 80"

No it does not, as you are connecting to 40337 ;o)

Edit:...but you are right. It redirects browsers to 80 and 81 wich is for the VNC WebSocket.

See here; Q15 and 16, not very mystical. :-)

Hi, that port is opened by simple-upnp. I don't know why it does that; I'm sure its explainable though; welcome to google the internet.

And indeed; it just redirects to port 80. I'm not sure why it does that either; but if you don't mind I'll just let it rest.

For anyone that wants to figure something like this out yourself:

Try netstat -nlp; you'll figure out that it fails; thats because we have busybox versions of all those commandline tools which according to our devs 'always miss the flags you need' :-).

So; then run fuser 41389/tcp (replace the 41389 with your portnumber) and then you'll find the pid; look that up in ps.

Or; just svc -d and kill whatever you think it might be and keep trying; with wget for example.

bye for now!

Dear, I am facing with the issue about the power forwarding...

I have the Cerbo GX device where I have tried both to setup statis IP or DHCP and this CX is connected to the InHand router where I have installed SIM card with private APN where I put the port forward for:

- 80 (HTTP)

- 81

- 502 (Modbus TCP)

- 1883 (MQTT)

to some ports...

But the problem is that when I tried to connect to web console it doesn't work and as well when I try Telnet for port that I forward for HTTP, ModbusTCP, MQTT and none of those works.

Is there any option that need to be setup on side of the Cerbo GX?

Is Cerbo GX allows you to connect on these from different subnet?

Thank you for answer.

Hello, I have the same setup as Tomaz and cannot connect via browser, with port forwarding.

If connected locally, with cable to the router, i can connect to the Cerbo and view the data, if I try to connect externally, with port forwarding, I get the message "Failed to connect. Make sure to enable Remote Console for LAN, and reboot the device.".

Am I doing something wrong? Help needed.

Thank you!
