Anyone know where I can find out what each acronym means in the battery monitor window in VEConfig 3? I can't find them anywhere.
These are the acronyms I can't find, I can guess some but need to know each of them.
Hi @Fozzydabear,
I have written out a short explanation of each of the acronyms. If any of these need further explaination (eg DC ripple), probably the next best resource to read is Victron's Wiring Unlimited.
If you still have questions after reading that, post back.
Victron - VE.Bus Battery Monitor Acronyms
L1, L2, L3 - Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3
UMains - AC voltage at inverter AC input
IMains - AC current at inverter AC input
Power - AC power in VoltAmps at inverter input
UOut - AC Voltage at inverter output
IOut - AC Current at inverter output
power - AC power at inverter output in VoltAmps
Freq. Out - AC Frequency at inverter output
Freq. In - AC Frequency at inverter input
DC
Udc - DC Voltage at inverter battery terminals
Idc - DC Current at inverter battery terminals
Idc invert - DC current in direction of loads through the inverter
Idc charge - DC current in direction of battery through inverter/charger
Udc ripple - DC ripple voltage
Ignore AC - Is the unit ignoring the AC input
Aux. Relay - what is the status of the Aux relay
Hi @Fozzydabear
I'm not sure exactly what you're after here, but on the VEConfig screen itself, try selecting 'Help' > 'What is this' > click on the word itself.
You should get a brief explanation, and possibly links to broader stuff.
If this isn't enough, come back with specifics and we'll try harder.. :)
It's the monitor screen on the left that give ins and out for DC, ac in etc. The help feature doesn't work because it's not a changeable field and none of the acronyms are in the search
