Quattro 48/15000 & 4 x BYD 13.8
Have limited info on a very remote system, been told the system is “shutting down”and start ing the Gen set on 100% SOC.Im guessing it maybe the Quattro/BYD charge ,discharge relays ?
Any one had this before ?

Quattro /BYD -shut down on 100 %SOC
Shutdown at 100% usually points to overvoltage/overcurrent. A quick fix is to back off the absorption charge voltage point a bit.
There should be more error codes / info from the venus-device.
The current state of the art for optimum performance is to use the CANbus and DVCC.
Please have a look at the manual, and if possible, bring the system up to the currently supported configuration.

There is another potential root cause that I have seen once before. It is related to the ports in the inverter that you have chosen to use (TEMP, AUX1, etc.). For later versions of the battery software this must be strictly the ones recommended by the Victron guidelines if not the inverter will shutdown at 100%.
As Guy recommends, it is better to actually remove the relays and use the CANbus and DVCC.

Since we changed the system to use the CANbus and DVCC we have not experienced the problem again.
The system was commissioned originally with the relays to charge/discharge and ALL settings as per Victron /BYD guidelines.

Using the allow to charge/discharge relays was the original guideline. Moving to DVCC was a big improvement for installation as well as ongoing operation.
We are still to this day optimising and improving the reliability and performance of the BYD and Victron combination. There are thousands of systems in the real world using this pair now.
Though it is now stable. I am still making improvements, so when commissioning new systems, always check to make sure you are using the latest advice here:
