Charge Controller within a vehicle lithium system

Hi,

Historically I have always spec'd systems with a battery protect to turn off the charge controller through the VE.bus bms. However recently seen schematics on Victrons page showing the charge controller connected directly to the CCGX with nothing to turn the charge controller off.

Has this been changed so the comms can control the charge controller based on what the BMS needs?

Yes, if you have a battery with CanBus communication which talks to the CCGX. In that case the battery will communicate to the CCGX what it needs, and the CCGX will in turn tell the MPPT what to do.

Thanks, I know this is the case when using Pylon or BYD but was never the case with Victron's own batteries and BMS. Just looking to confirm
