How to replace Cerbo GX with a Cerrbo S-GX with no data loss

I have a bad Cerbo GX that I am replacing with a Cerbo S-GX, as I don't need the added functionality of the regular GX. I saw the post from 2022 about replacing the GX with a like kind box.

Two questions:

1. That post is aged, is that still the correct way to do it?

2. Will that also work for replacing the GX with a S-GX?

Thanks for your thoughts.

It's described in the VRM portal. Go to the installation you want to replace and go to settings -> general -> scroll down.

Thanks, I didn't know that was there. Do you know of any issues with replacing a Cerbo GX with a Cerbo-S GX using this process?
