smartsolar mppt rs 450/100-tr #200 error repair

We have here a SmartSolar mppt rs 450/100-tr #200 error.

This one is from serial number HQ2216- HQ2236 range. (Victron recall)

Victron tells me this one is already claimed on warranty and should be destroyed And never sell again!


But we have buy this new and the seller don’t want return it because they tell me I must make a RMA at Victron.

Does anybody know this failure and what components need to be replaced.

Electrical drawings will help to for me.

should we meassuring the dc-dc converter or the Mosfets or capacitors?


can anybody help me with pictures of a good working model so we can compare?

Hi @Skilder,

Really hate to hear this story. Can you please create a service ticket here that fully explains what has happened, serial number, when you bought the unit, who you bought it from, and receipts and such - https://victronenergy.com/support

It's not right that you bought a new unit with a known fault, without a warranty because someone else didn't do what they promised (destroying the unit with fault) after already claiming a replacement.

We have make a new RMA on this victron page today.
Lets hope we get a good result for it.
We can show the invoice if need it is no problem.
