Solar input discrepancy

I have my TPS1230 solar controller connected via my VictronConnect BMV 712 smart battery monitor. The TPS shows 7.5 amp solar imput however the VictronConnect shows only 5.2 amp imput. Why would there be this variation and which is the correct reading? Many thanks

Trust the BMV, Bazza. It's Victron's best kit, designed to outdo even it's own 'onboard' measurements on kit already pretty close.

Some of this other (let's call it 'cheaply sourced' build) kit is highly inaccurate, and usually 'optimistic' with A displays. I've seen some out by a factor of at least 2x. They look & feel good though.. :)

Are there any DC loads that use the energy before it can go into the battery?
