I recently replaced my Trojan Solar SAGM 12 205 batteries with a BYD lithium Battery-Box LV Flex 5. I also replaced my Color Control GX with Cerbo GX that has two VE.Can communication ports as recommended by Victron for those planning to use BYD battery products. One port can then be used to connect the BYD battery, and the other to connect the Solar Charger. The Color Control GX has only one such port.
Unfortunately, my first generation Cerbo GX (PN BPP900450100) f/w v3.41 is unable to detect that my 3G GX GSM 100100100 cellular USB modem is connected on the Settings/GSM modem window. The window is blank with a message “No GSM modem connected.” However, the modem’s blue light flushes slowly indicating that Network is available.
The modem’s USB connector is connect to the first USB port located right next to the USB port dedicated for powering Cerbo’s touchscreen. I also tried connecting it on the second USB port but without success.
This modem was fully functional with CCGX. The SIM card is active with sufficient credit and data bundles.
What could be the problem here, anyone?
Thank you.
