Multiplus-II 8000VA 48V, number of Pylontech batteries?

I found the link below but I see this is already an old link as the 8000VA, 10.000VA and 15.000VA models are not listed:

How much Pylontech 48V/2.4 kWh can I best use for this inverter please?

It is VA divided by the battery nominal voltage then divide that by the nominal discharge current.

The US2000 datsheet says it can do 25A continuous.

8kVa maths

Or the same as a quattro 8kva requirements

8000 ÷ 48v = 166A ÷ 25A = 6.6666 or 7 US2000


10kVa maths

10000 is easy it is 2 x a 5kVa or the dame as the quattro minimum requirements.

10000 ÷ 48v ÷25A is 8.333 batteries.


15kVa maths

15000 is also easy it is 3 x what a 5kVa system needs. Or the same as a quattro 15kva requirements.

15000 ÷ 48v ÷25A is 12.5 batteries. Or 13 US2000 since you cant have a half battery.

One small question,

If we were to opt for a 5000VA (we have no idea whether this is going to be sufficient for our off-grid system). We end up with 5000 ÷ 48v ÷ 25A = 4.16666.

I suppose it would then be better to install 5 batteries (12kWh) rather than 4?

More batteries have got to be better in an off grid situation, but you also have to have the ability to fully charge them so that you can balance the battery cells.
